DAY 21: THE PAST

That seems like a strange tag line, doesn’t it?  Isn’t Yoga supposed to be about being in the present moment, all the time?  But what happens when you’re on your mat, and the past comes up?  Maybe something from the past that still causes unrest, or sadness, or anger. 

Yoga practice can be a great time to release the past.  It’s a great place for forgiveness.  If something troubling comes up, and you know it’s time to let it go, try to do it on the mat.  Say the words out loud – “I forgive you for….” or “I forgive myself for…”  Even if you need to do it every day until you feel it’s gone.  The time is now to let go of the past.
