It’s a busy world we live in today, with increasing demands on employers and employees alike. We work long hours, many of which are spent seated in front of a computer. We skip meals, keep a phone glued to our ear, and rarely leave our workspace for a break. Before long, these work habits begin to take their toll on our bodies and minds in the form of stress and tension.

Stress in itself is not necessarily a bad thing. Because the stress response increases mental focus, it can often help us meet a deadline or finish a project. But too much stress, or constant stress, can interfere with numerous physical and mental abilities. How we respond to stress can have a significant impact.

Yoga is a time-tested practice that cultivates boundless levels of mental and physical fitness. Corporate Yoga Programs are designed to remove stress from body and mind, while increasing energy levels.

Yoga for All offers Yoga Workshops and Corporate Yoga classes, customized to best fit the needs of your company and employees.

YOGA WORKSHOPS:

These sample workshops are just a few ideas to help facilitate and cultivate stress reduction in the workplace. Workshops are approximately 60 minutes in length.

Proper Breathing for Stress Reduction:
Utilizing our full potential through breathing helps to reduce stress, rejuvenate the body and provide an overall feeling of balance and happiness. This is a basic introduction to the “right” way to breathe, how to recognize changes in the breath caused by stress, and how to use the breath to relieve that stress. Comfortable chairs (with back support) are recommended for this workshop.

Rejuvenating Chair Yoga:
Variations of yoga postures are introduced and practiced while seated in a chair, as well as standing and using the chair as a prop. This workshop will promote stretching, strengthening and toning, all combined with proper breathing techniques to rejuvenate and refresh the body during a long work day. Folding chairs are recommended for this workshop.

Yoga for a Healthy Spine:
Various yoga postures are practiced poses to improve posture, encourage balanced alignment and increase flexibility of the spine to prevent injury. Chairs, mats and wall space are recommended for this workshop.

CORPORATE YOGA CLASSES:

Corporate Yoga Classes are 60-90 minutes in length and extend over an 8-week or 12-week period. Class times and session lengths are tailored to suit your employees’ needs and schedules. Ideal times are before work, during lunch hours or after work.

Yoga for All:
Classic yoga postures combined with proper breathing help to reduce stress and increase strength and flexibility. Lengthen and strengthen muscles, improve balance and posture, and relax. A flexible body is a youthful body! This is an “all levels” class. Beginner to advanced variations will be demonstrated.

Core Yoga:
Core refers to the muscles in the abdomen and back that support our entire body in all we do. Strength and flexibility in this area allows us to maintain good posture and contributes to the prevention of back injury. Classic yoga postures will be practiced, with an emphasis on abdominal and back strengthening. This is an “all levels” class. Beginner to advanced variations will be demonstrated.

Power Flow:
In this faster-paced flowing class, strength, flexibility and stamina are all emphasized. This is a vigorous style of yoga that combines variations of yoga postures with proper breathing techniques. Bring a towel and water and be prepared to sweat!

Equipment and Space
Yoga (sticky) mats are required for all Corporate Yoga classes. The company or students will need to provide these. The company must provide a warm and open space that is suitable for the Yoga class: boardrooms, large offices and rooftop decks are all popular choices.
